The cover of this journal bears a hand-tooled HARE & MOON - the Hare, a sacred animal for Pagans and a symbol of fertility traditionally associated with Ostara, the festival of the Spring Equinox, when the world comes to life again after the months of winter.

The cover is finished in an organic mahogany brown dye derived from tree bark.

I love working with leather, but for ethical reasons I only use vintage leather for my books- ie leather from working animals that have come to the natural end of their lives.
